
Suspected bandits on Thursday night carried out coordinated attacks on multiple communities in Kwara State, leaving residents in fear after several people were abducted and one person confirmed dead.
The attacks reportedly targeted Gaa-Oke Abba and Gaa-Alla communities in Isin Local Government Area, as well as Famole community in Ifelodun Local Government Area.
According to local sources, the assailants stormed the affected areas around 10 p.m., operating simultaneously and causing widespread panic as residents fled for safety.
In Gaa-Alla community, at least two individuals were abducted during the attack. However, the exact number of victims taken from Gaa-Oke Abba remains unclear, as efforts are ongoing to assess the full extent of the damage.

The situation turned deadly in Famole community, where residents reportedly confronted the attackers in a gun battle. One person was killed during the exchange, further escalating tensions in the area.
Famole is located along the Share–Okeode Road near the Oyi River in Oke-Ode Ward II of Ifelodun Local Government Area.
These latest incidents have intensified concerns among residents of Kwara North, where cases of kidnapping and violent attacks have been on the rise in recent months.
Security agencies are yet to release an official statement as of the time of this report.
