Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation HADIN KAI have reportedly killed 16 terrorists and recovered several weapons during coordinated operations in Adamawa State.
The operations, carried out between September 30 and October 1, covered the Boima general area of Gombi Local Government Area and other locations within Sector 4 of the military’s area of operations.
According to the military, troops ambushed a terrorist enclave in Boima, killing 16 fighters. A subsequent search reportedly led to the recovery of three AK-47 rifles, two pump-action rifles, one Dane gun, six AK-47 magazines and a belt of pump-action cartridges.
The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI also conducted a precision air strike after surveillance detected about 16 terrorists gathered with 15 motorcycles under a tree canopy. The military said the target was engaged at about 5:30 a.m., with a subsequent assessment confirming its destruction.
