A fresh controversy has emerged after a social media security commentator, D English Alhaji, alleged that a suspected terrorist and bandit kingpin identified as Bashir was seen inside a residence he claimed belongs to Senator Shehu Buba Umar, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District.
In a video circulating online, the commentator displayed footage he said showed Bashir inside the property and called on security agencies and media organisations to investigate the identity of the individual and establish ownership of the house.
D English Alhaji also claimed that the man in the footage appeared to have difficulty moving one of his hands, linking the observation to previous claims about Bashir.

Senator Shehu Buba has previously denied allegations linking him to terrorists and has called for investigations, stating that some videos circulated against him were manipulated or taken out of context.
The latest allegation remains unverified, and there is no independent confirmation that the person shown in the footage is Bashir or that the property belongs to the senator.
The commentator has urged the DSS and other relevant security agencies to investigate the footage and determine who owns the property, insisting that the matter should not be ignored.
