Nigerian singer Waje, 45 years old, has announced her engagement. Speaking in a recent interview with Hip TV Lagos, she confirmed, “I am actually engaged,” though she did not share any further details.
The music star, whose fiancé remains undisclosed, recently stated in an interview that she cannot marry a man who is not successful.
She emphasized that her age doesn’t allow her the luxury of waiting for someone still struggling.
During a podcast interview on The Honest Bunch, Waje revealed that the father of her daughter denied responsibility and abandoned her after impregnating her as a teenager.
She added that although he later returned to apologize, he never took responsibility for their daughter, even after she agreed to his demand for a DNA test—which he ultimately never showed up for.
