Mrs Jamima J. Dutse, a former Zonal Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bauchi South, has been killed by unidentified attackers at her residence in Bauchi State.
Dutse was reportedly attacked inside her home before the assailants fled the area.
The incident has sparked concerns over security in the state, with the Take-It-Back, TIB, Movement, Bauchi State chapter, condemning the killing as a senseless act of violence.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the group’s Bauchi State Coordinator, Nazif Bashi, expressed sympathy with Dutse’s family, friends and associates.
The movement called on security agencies to immediately investigate the circumstances surrounding her death and bring those responsible to justice.
TIB specifically urged the Bauchi State Police Command, the Department of State Services, DSS, and other relevant agencies to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
