
The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a 49-year-old security guard, Oladapo Felix, over the alleged shooting of a resident at Zion Estate, Yakoya Area of Elewuro, Akobo, Ibadan.
The incident was confirmed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, who said police operatives from the Akobo Division responded to the report and arrested the suspect.
According to the police, the victim reportedly identified himself as a resident of the house but was still shot by the security guard.

The victim has been taken to a medical facility, where he is currently receiving treatment and responding to medical care.
Police said four locally made single-barrel guns and a machete were recovered from the suspect’s duty post.
Investigators are now working to establish what happened immediately before the shooting and the circumstances that led to the use of the firearm.
