The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has reunited a six-year-old boy, Haneem Hussaini Bello, with his grandmother after he was found wandering around the NNPC Towers area in Abuja.
The child was reportedly found on September 4, 2026, after becoming separated from his family. Following his discovery, the Police Command appealed to members of the public to provide information that could help identify and locate his relatives.
The appeal soon yielded results, leading to the identification and contact of the child’s grandmother, who had reportedly been with him shortly before he became separated from his family.
According to the Police, necessary verification was conducted to confirm the family relationship before the child was safely handed over to his grandmother on September 5.
The FCT Police Command commended members of the public for their cooperation and timely assistance, noting that their support contributed significantly to the successful reunification.

The Command also stressed the importance of community cooperation with security agencies, particularly in cases involving missing or separated children and other vulnerable persons.
The Police urged residents to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies whenever they encounter situations that may threaten the safety or wellbeing of vulnerable persons.
