A coordinated security operation involving multiple Nigerian agencies has led to the successful rescue of 308 kidnapped victims across Kwara and Niger States.
The joint mission, carried out on Wednesday, was spearheaded by the Nigerian military in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS), the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC), and the Nigeria Police Force, alongside other security units.
According to a security source, the operation is considered one of the most significant and successful rescue efforts in recent times. The victims were freed during simultaneous operations conducted in both states.

Out of the 308 rescued individuals, 163 victims were abducted from Woro Community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, while 145 others were rescued from various locations in Niger State.
Following their rescue, the victims have been taken to the Military Medical Facility at Wawa Cantonment in New Bussa, Niger State, where they are currently receiving medical attention and care.
Security agencies have reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying efforts against kidnapping and other criminal activities, assuring citizens of continued operations to ensure safety and national security.
