The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has disclosed that the nine people killed in the recent attack on Kum community in Riyom Local Government Area were all members of his extended family.
Speaking during a mass burial held for the victims, Dachomo described the incident as another heartbreaking loss for his family and the community. He said the attack claimed the lives of relatives including uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.
According to the cleric, the latest tragedy is part of a series of violent attacks that have affected his family over the years. He recalled that some of his relatives were also killed in previous incidents, saying the repeated losses have left lasting pain.
Despite his grief, Dachomo said he has chosen the path of forgiveness, while urging greater attention to the persistent violence affecting communities in Plateau State.
