Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested 12 individuals suspected of collaborating with Boko Haram during a coordinated intelligence-led operation in Damasak, Borno State.
The operation was reportedly launched after security operatives obtained credible intelligence from the interrogation of an earlier suspect arrested at the Kadauri cattle market. Information provided by the suspect allegedly led troops to locations believed to be used by terrorist collaborators, logistics suppliers and informants.

Acting on the intelligence, the troops carried out coordinated cordon-and-search operations across several identified locations, leading to the arrest of the 12 suspects.
During the raid, security personnel recovered four mobile phones, including three Tecno handsets, one Itel phone and one Infinix smartphone, along with ₦7,360 in cash. The recovered items are expected to assist investigators in ongoing efforts to uncover the network’s activities.
Military authorities said the suspects are currently undergoing preliminary screening before being transferred to the Joint Intelligence Fusion Centre in Maiduguri for further investigation, profiling and possible prosecution.
The Army described the operation as a significant breakthrough in its campaign against insurgency, noting that dismantling terrorist support networks remains critical to weakening Boko Haram’s operational capacity.
It added that intelligence-driven operations will continue across the North-East to identify and apprehend individuals suspected of aiding terrorist groups.
