Three suspects arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of former Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo, are set to be arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Abeokuta.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed that the suspects will appear in court on Monday at Magistrate Court 3, Isabo, Abeokuta.
According to police authorities, the arraignment follows the arrest of the suspects less than two weeks after the tragic incident occurred at the broadcaster’s residence.
The case initially came to light after residents raised concerns over suspicious activities at the home, prompting a police investigation.
Detectives who visited the scene discovered signs of forced entry and disturbance.
The body of the security guard was found at the gate, while Mrs. Oyesiku’s remains were later discovered inside the house. Her Lexus RX330, which was initially reported missing, was subsequently recovered during the investigation.
The Commissioner of Police revealed that a major breakthrough came after investigators found a note inside the stolen vehicle.
Forensic analysis of the note led to the arrest of the prime suspect, identified as 22-year-old Sodeinde Olajuwon Philip, who was apprehended at a construction site in Abeokuta.

Further investigations led to the arrest of two additional suspects: Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola, a security guard, and Sobu Obafunsho, a bricklayer.
Police allege that the prime suspect confessed to orchestrating the attack, claiming he acted out of personal grievances against the deceased while previously working as her security guard. He reportedly stated that the attack was intended to “teach her a lesson.”
Authorities also disclosed that the suspects allegedly overpowered the security guard before gaining access to the residence, where both victims were killed.
Security operatives later recovered the stolen vehicle through intelligence-led operations, alongside items believed to have been used in the crime, including a hammer, cutlass, plank, and other materials.
The police emphasized that while the suspects have made useful statements and significant evidence has been gathered, they remain presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The command assured the public of a thorough investigation and diligent prosecution of all individuals connected to the case.
Further updates are expected as the case proceeds in court.
