
The Ogun State Police Command has successfully recovered a Lexus RX300 belonging to a retired Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, who was tragically killed alongside her security guard.
The vehicle had earlier been reported missing following the shocking incident, which occurred at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, located in the Owode-Egba area of Ogun State.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, visited the crime scene on Monday to assess the progress of ongoing investigations.
According to the statement, the visit formed part of efforts to gain firsthand insight into the case and ensure that all investigative leads are being thoroughly pursued.
“CP Bode Ojajuni conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the scene and received detailed briefings from detectives handling the case.
He reiterated the command’s commitment to leaving no stone unturned in uncovering the circumstances surrounding the incident and bringing those responsible to justice,” the statement read.

The police further revealed that the stolen vehicle was recovered during a night operation and has since been secured as part of evidence in the ongoing investigation.
Authorities also assured residents of Ogun State that intensive efforts are underway to track down the perpetrators and ensure justice is served.
Earlier reports indicated that the tragic incident came to light after a concerned resident raised an alarm over suspicious activities around the property.
Upon arrival, police operatives discovered signs of forced entry. The security guard was found dead at his duty post, while Mrs. Oyesiku’s body was later discovered inside the residence.
The Commissioner of Police has extended condolences to the bereaved family and reassured the public of the command’s unwavering dedication to maintaining safety and security across the state.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
