
Suspected bandits have kidnapped the wife and son of Yusuf Alhasan, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The attack occurred around midnight on Monday when armed men stormed Alhasan’s residence in the Low-Cost area of Yauri and took the two victims to an undisclosed location. The incident was first reported on X by security analyst and conflict reporter Bakatsine.
As of the time of filing this report, there had been no official statement from security agencies or the Kebbi State Government on the abduction. The whereabouts of the victims remain unknown.

The incident has renewed concerns over rising insecurity in parts of Kebbi State, where kidnappings and armed attacks have continued to affect residents and disrupt daily life.
Authorities are yet to comment on efforts to secure the release of the abducted family members.
