As protests over school abductions spread across major Nigerian cities, a grieving mother has shared a painful account of the moment her daughter was taken by armed bandits during a raid on her school.
The mother, identified as Ebun, described how a normal school drop-off turned into a nightmare when gunmen stormed the premises. Her emotional testimony has added to the growing anger and fear among families nationwide, many of whom still have children held in remote forest camps.
Ebun recounted the trauma of that day, saying it marked the last time she saw her daughter. Her story reflects the deep psychological toll and desperation facing hundreds of Nigerian families caught in the country’s worsening security crisis.

The incidents have renewed calls for urgent action to secure schools and communities, as families continue to demand the safe return of their loved ones.
