The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a suspected hoodlum in connection with the violent clash involving members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osun State.
The arrest followed a security operation launched after rival factions of the transport union engaged in a confrontation that disrupted activities and raised tension in parts of the state.
Police authorities said the suspect was apprehended during efforts to identify and arrest individuals allegedly involved in the violence. Security operatives also recovered items believed to be linked to the incident, while investigations are ongoing to determine the roles played by those arrested.

The clash reportedly resulted in panic among residents and road users as the rival groups engaged in violent attacks. Businesses in the affected areas were temporarily disrupted before security personnel restored normalcy.
The Osun State Police Command assured residents that it remains committed to maintaining law and order, adding that additional suspects connected to the clash are being tracked.
The command warned individuals and groups against taking the law into their own hands, stressing that anyone found culpable would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
Residents were also urged to remain calm and provide useful information that could assist security agencies in identifying other suspects involved in the unrest.
The police reiterated that efforts are ongoing to prevent further violence and ensure public safety across the state.
