Former Director of Defence Information, Major General John Enenche, says there are several kidnapping cases in Nigeria that the public has not heard about.
In an interview with Channels Television, Enenche said while Nigerians are aware of high-profile incidents, including the abduction of a relative of a former minister and the kidnapping of schoolchildren in Ibadan and Borno State, these represent only a fraction of what is happening.
He explained that many other cases occur quietly and never make it to public attention. “The officer that handed over to me, Major General Rabe Abubakar, was kidnapped,” Enenche stated, adding that such incidents are more common than reported.
