
Operatives of the Benue State Police Command have foiled several criminal operations across the state, leading to the recovery of rifles, a stolen Lexus vehicle, and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) linked to suspected criminal activities.
Police authorities disclosed that the operations were carried out during coordinated raids and stop-and-search patrols in parts of the state following credible intelligence on the movement of armed suspects.
According to the command, officers intercepted suspected criminals attempting to flee after allegedly carrying out robbery activities in one of the affected communities. During the operation, security personnel recovered rifles and other items believed to have been used by the suspects.

The police also confirmed the recovery of a stolen Lexus car reportedly snatched from its owner during an earlier attack. In a separate operation, an SUV suspected to have been abandoned by fleeing criminals was also recovered by operatives.
Spokesperson of the command said investigations were ongoing to track down members of the criminal gangs who escaped during the operations, adding that efforts were being intensified to rid the state of violent crimes.
The command reassured residents of its commitment to improving security across Benue and urged members of the public to continue providing useful information that could assist law enforcement agencies in combating criminal activities.
