Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, now know their possible group opponents at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup as they prepare for their qualifying clash against Guinea.
The African qualifiers are still at the second-round stage, with only four teams set to secure a spot at the tournament. Nigeria will face Guinea in the first leg away in Abidjan this weekend before hosting the return leg at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne next Saturday.
If the Flamingos advance, they will meet the winner of the tie between Benin Republic and Sierra Leone in the final qualifying round. Qualification would place Nigeria in CAF Slot 1, which has been drawn into Group B for the World Cup.
