
Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, will leave for Abidjan on Wednesday for the first leg of their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against Guinea.
The match is scheduled to hold in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on Saturday. The return leg will take place at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday, 30 May.

Coach Akeem Busari’s side arrived in Ikenne last week to complete the final phase of preparations for the qualifiers. The team boosted morale with a 5-0 win over Lakeside Queens in a friendly match last Thursday.
Thirty-six players are currently in camp, but the squad will be trimmed before departure for Abidjan. The Flamingos are looking to secure an early advantage away from home as they push for a spot at the 2026 U-17 Women’s World Cup.
