
Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, have touched down in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, ahead of their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying clash against Guinea.
The team flew out of Lagos on Asky Airlines and made a brief stopover in Lomé, Togo, before landing at Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport. Players and officials are lodged at the Seen Hotel in Abidjan as they prepare for the first leg.

Guinea will host the match at their makeshift home ground in Abidjan on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The return leg is scheduled for next Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Nigeria.
The winner on aggregate will secure a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco later this year. The Flamingos are aiming to build on their strong record at youth level and book another spot on the global stage.
