Liverpool F.C. have reduced their planned ticket price increases for the next two seasons following strong protests from supporters and discussions with fan representatives over the rising cost of attending matches at Anfield.
The club announced that general admission ticket prices will now increase by three per cent for the 2026/27 season before remaining frozen for the 2027/28 campaign.
The revised decision comes after Liverpool initially proposed a three-year pricing structure that would have seen annual increases linked to inflation.
Despite the adjustment, season ticket holders will still pay more next season. The cheapest seat in the famous Kop stand is expected to cost £734.50, while the highest-priced seat in the Main Stand will rise to £931.
Matchday ticket prices are also set to range between £30 and £62.75 depending on seating location.
The change in approach followed weeks of complaints and demonstrations by supporters’ groups who argued that the proposed increases would make attending games increasingly difficult for regular fans.

In a joint statement released after talks with the club, fan representatives welcomed Liverpool’s decision to abandon the previously announced long-term pricing plan.
They described the outcome as an important step that would allow further discussions on affordability and supporter access in the future.
The supporters acknowledged that some fans would still be unhappy with next season’s increase but promised to continue working with the club to explore other ways of easing financial pressure on match-going supporters.
Liverpool, however, warned that future inflation-related increases could still become necessary if alternative revenue sources are not identified.
Discussions between the club and fan groups are expected to continue in the coming years as both sides seek a balance between affordability and the club’s financial needs.
