Global football governing body FIFA has officially unveiled the volunteer uniform for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, introducing a bold and colourful design that will be worn by thousands of volunteers across North America.
The kit, designed in collaboration with Adidas, will be used by volunteers working across 16 host cities in United States, Canada and Mexico. It is tailored to provide comfort, functionality and easy identification while reflecting the vibrant spirit and diversity of the tournament.
Featuring the official tournament visual identity, the uniform incorporates the Volunteer Programme’s signature heart-shaped motif, symbolising the vital role volunteers play in delivering the global event.
The design also draws inspiration from North America’s varsity jacket culture, with customisable host city patches allowing volunteers to proudly represent their locations.
Each selected volunteer will receive a full kit that includes trainers, socks, T-shirts, shorts, joggers, a mid-layer jacket, a cap and a waist bag.

The apparel is made with breathable materials and layered options to suit varying weather conditions across the host countries.
FIFA’s Chief Operating Officer for the tournament, Heimo Schirgi, said the uniform reflects the energy and dedication of the volunteer workforce.
According to him, the unveiling celebrates the commitment of volunteers who will help deliver what is widely regarded as the biggest sporting event in the world, while ensuring fans, players and visitors experience warmth and hospitality throughout the tournament.
More than one million people applied for the volunteer programme, with nearly 50,000 selected making it the largest volunteer initiative in FIFA history.
Participants range from 18 to over 80 years old, highlighting the diversity and global appeal of football.
Volunteers will support operations across 24 functional areas, including stadiums, training sites and fan festival venues.
Training sessions have already begun across host cities, with participants expected to receive their uniforms and accreditation in the coming weeks.
FIFA noted that beyond its practical use during the tournament, the uniform will serve as a unifying symbol and lasting souvenir of the 2026 World Cup experience.
