Lionel Messi, captain of Inter Miami, has revealed that apart from football, he enjoys watching basketball, tennis, and padel. He made the disclosure during his recent appearance at the American Business Forum in Miami.
Lionel Messi, who joined Inter Miami on a free transfer in 2023 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, revealed his growing interest in American sports. “I love all sports and enjoy watching them. Since arriving in Miami, I’ve learned more about American football, though I was already following basketball, tennis, and padel,” he said (via TouchlineX).
Messi added that his interest in American football has deepened thanks to his children. “We used to only watch the Super Bowl, but now I follow the NFL regular season. My kids play the sport at school, and through them, I’ve started learning more about the game, so I follow almost everything in general.”
