
Suspected gunmen have reportedly killed more than 10 people in a fresh attack on Gurbi community in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening when the assailants stormed the community and opened fire indiscriminately on residents, causing panic and chaos.
According to reports shared by security analyst Bakatsine on X, several others sustained injuries during the attack, as the attackers targeted fleeing civilians.

Witnesses revealed that security operatives arrived at the scene only after significant casualties had already been recorded, raising concerns over delayed response to such incidents.
The latest attack has once again heightened fears over the persistent insecurity in parts of Katsina State, with residents calling for urgent and proactive measures to safeguard lives and property.
