
Two persons have been confirmed dead in a tragic road traffic accident that occurred along the Kaduna Western Bypass in Kaduna State.
The fatal crash, which happened around 1:45 p.m. near the Federal Eye Centre Junction, involved a DAF truck, a Honda car, and a motorcycle.
According to the Kaduna Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the incident occurred when the Honda vehicle reportedly collided with the motorcycle, resulting in the instant death of the motorcycle rider and a passenger.
Sector Commander Andre Longkam confirmed the incident, stating that emergency responders, alongside the police, quickly arrived at the scene to control traffic and restore order.
The crash site, located along the Kaduna Western Bypass, was temporarily thrown into chaos as some angry youths set the affected vehicles ablaze shortly after the accident, further escalating the damage.

FRSC officials confirmed that the bodies of the deceased were evacuated, while investigations have commenced to determine the exact cause of the crash.
Longkam also urged motorists to exercise caution, particularly on highways and construction-prone routes, warning against reckless driving and violation of traffic regulations.
He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to improving road safety and reducing avoidable fatalities across the state.
