
Troops have arrested a suspected kidnapper linked to an attack on a Point-of-Sale (POS) operator in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The suspect was apprehended on April 21, 2026, during a covert operation conducted by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical) under Operation HADIN KAI in Loko village.
According to security sources, the suspect was identified as one of those involved in a March 12, 2026 attack on a POS operator in the area. He was also said to have been on the wanted list of the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged involvement in kidnapping-related activities.

A security analyst, Zagazola Makama, disclosed that the arrest was intelligence-led and successfully executed after weeks of surveillance.
Following his capture, the suspect was handed over to the DSS for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Authorities say ongoing security operations have been intensified in the area to track down other members of the suspected criminal network still at large.
