Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has issued a bold message to rivals in the Turkish Super Lig after inspiring Galatasaray to a record-extending league title, insisting that competing teams can only “try” as his side prepares to defend their dominance next season.
Osimhen played a decisive role in Galatasaray’s dramatic 4–2 comeback victory over Antalyaspor at RAMS Park, a result that sealed their 26th league title in style.
Despite going behind twice in the match, Galatasaray fought back strongly, with Osimhen leading the charge.
The Nigerian forward equalised in the 66th minute from the penalty spot after winning the kick himself, before completing the turnaround with a crucial goal in the 88th minute.
A late strike from Kaan Ayhan ensured the victory was sealed emphatically in front of jubilant home fans.
Following the triumph, Osimhen celebrated passionately and delivered a confident message to rivals during a live Instagram session:
“Next season, you can do whatever you want we are coming back stronger. You will only try. Just keep trying and keep training.”
He also praised Galatasaray supporters worldwide for their unwavering backing throughout the season, especially during his injury spell.

“When I was injured, I told the hospital staff to hurry up because it would be boring if another team won the title. No one celebrates like us, and that’s why we must keep winning,” he added.
With one match left in the season, Galatasaray sit four points clear of closest rivals Fenerbahçe, underlining their dominance in Turkish football.
Victor Osimhen has been instrumental this season, registering 15 goals and five assists in the league, alongside impressive performances in the UEFA Champions League before Galatasaray’s exit in the round of 16.
As the season winds down, speculation continues over his future, with top European clubs including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Arsenal reportedly monitoring him.
However, Galatasaray have placed a massive €150 million valuation on their star striker, signaling their intent to keep him.
For now, Osimhen remains focused on celebration and sending a clear warning that Galatasaray’s reign is far from over.
