Reacting to the emotional moment on Fox Sports, Henry said Messi’s tears reflected the deep love and desire he still has for representing his country.
“Look at what it means to him. If you ever had any doubt about whether the guy still has any fire in his belly, look at him. Look at what it means,” Henry said.
He added that despite everything Messi has achieved in his career, including winning the World Cup, the veteran forward continues to give everything for Argentina whenever he steps onto the pitch.
Messi enjoyed an outstanding tournament, scoring eight goals and leading Argentina to the final with a series of impressive performances.
Although Argentina fell short against Spain, Henry believes Messi’s emotional reaction after the match was proof of his unwavering passion, determination, and love for his national team.
