
A heartbreaking incident has been reported in Ondo State, where a mother, identified as Oluwasola Victoria Adebayo, died while waiting for her daughter to complete the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The tragic event occurred at Ilara-Mokin Junction in Ifedore Local Government Area. According to eyewitness accounts, the woman had accompanied her daughter to a Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination centre when she suddenly complained of feeling unwell shortly after their arrival.
Moments later, she reportedly collapsed, prompting bystanders to rush to her aid in a desperate attempt to revive her.

Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Unaware of the unfolding tragedy, her daughter remained inside the examination hall, focused on writing her paper.
The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the incident through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh.
He stated that the case was duly reported, and necessary procedures were carried out before the deceased’s body was released to her family following preliminary investigations.
The incident has left many in shock, highlighting the emotional and physical toll surrounding examination periods for families.
