
Three men have been killed in separate attacks linked to suspected gunmen in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, raising fresh concerns over the safety of residents in vulnerable communities.
The victims were reportedly attacked at a mining site in the Jamus area of Kazok villages, Gashish District, at about 5 p.m. on Friday.
The Berom Youth Moulders-Association (BYM), in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Rwang Tengwong, identified two of the victims as John Mafulul, 53, and Ezekiel Yohanna, 50.
The association also announced the death of Bulus Chun Pam, from Gwom Ajang in Foron District, Barkin Ladi. Pam had sustained injuries during an attack on October 7 and was receiving treatment at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) before his death on Friday.

Describing the incidents as painful losses, the association called on the Federal Government, the Plateau State Government and security agencies to take urgent steps to protect lives and property across the state.
BYM warned that mining sites, farmlands, rural communities and access roads should not become danger zones for residents trying to earn a living.
