Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, So-Safe Corps, have arrested a 31-year-old man, Babajide Usman, over the alleged burglary of Glorious Christian Bible Church in Ayede, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Usman was reportedly arrested around 8am on September 28, 2026, after allegedly returning to the church premises to carry out another theft.
According to the Corps Commander, Dr Soji Ganzallo, the suspect had allegedly entered the church the previous night by jumping over the fence and removed copper pipes connected to four air-conditioning units.
The suspect reportedly confessed during preliminary investigation that he sold the stolen copper pipes to scrap dealers.

Ganzallo further stated that the suspect returned to the church the following morning, allegedly intending to steal roofing sheets, but was apprehended by So-Safe Corps operatives.
The recovered exhibits have been handed over to the Ifo Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The Corps urged churches, businesses and residents to strengthen their security measures and report suspicious activities to relevant security agencies.
