Seven people have lost their lives while seven others sustained injuries in a fatal road accident along the Kutigi–Bida Road in Niger State.
The crash occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday at Shebe Village, when a Mazda vehicle travelling from Minna towards Mokwa reportedly entered a blind corner and collided with a Toyota Sienna heading from Lagos to Minna.
According to reports, the Mazda had departed from the Mobil Motor Park with eight passengers on board. Seven of its occupants died in the crash, while the only survivor, a teenage girl, was reportedly unconscious after the accident.
The Toyota Sienna was also fully occupied. Seven passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries, while four other people involved in the crash escaped unhurt.

The teenage survivor is currently being attended to, while authorities are making efforts to locate her relatives.
Confirming the incident, the Niger State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Aishat Saadu, said a total of 18 people were involved in the crash.
She said seven people were killed, seven injured and four others escaped without injuries.
The accident highlights the dangers posed by blind corners and other hazardous sections of Nigerian highways, underscoring the need for motorists to exercise caution and reduce speed, particularly on difficult stretches of road.
