Seven people have been confirmed dead after two trailers crushed vehicles at Elewe-Odo Bus Stop in Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State. The accident also left a mother and her two children with injuries.
The Oyo State Sector Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kehinde Dahunsi, confirmed the incident to PUNCH on Tuesday. He said the injured victims were rushed to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, for treatment.
According to FRSC findings, the crash involved two trailers and two Micra cars all moving in the same direction. An eyewitness said the trailer behind the Micra lost its brakes while the trailer ahead was negotiating a junction to its office. The out-of-control trailer ran over the Micra and its occupants, killing seven people on the spot.
