
Spanish club Real Madrid have imposed a €500,000 fine each on midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni following a disciplinary incident during a recent training session.
According to the club, the decision comes after both players were involved in an altercation on the training ground, which prompted immediate internal investigations and disciplinary proceedings.

Real Madrid confirmed that both players appeared before the club’s investigating officer, where they expressed regret over the incident and issued apologies to each other, teammates, coaching staff, and supporters.
The club stated that both Valverde and Tchouaméni accepted responsibility for their actions and cooperated fully with the internal process before sanctions were decided.
As part of the ruling, Real Madrid handed down a €500,000 fine to each player, describing it as a firm response aimed at maintaining discipline within the squad.
Following the incident, Tchouaméni has since returned to training, while Valverde is expected to miss the upcoming LaLiga fixture against rivals FC Barcelona as he continues recovery and assessment.
The club has since closed the disciplinary case after issuing what is considered one of its most significant internal sanctions in recent years.
