Troops under Sector 3 of Operation Enduring Peace have recovered 34 cattle after suspected herders allegedly destroyed an irrigation farm in Plateau State.
The incident occurred in Zobwo village, Bassa Local Government Area, according to a report shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama. Security sources said troops were mobilized early on May 6 after receiving a distress call about the farm destruction.
On arrival, the soldiers assessed the damage and launched a follow-up operation in a nearby settlement known as Tafi Gana. The suspected herders fled on sighting the troops, abandoning their cattle.
