
The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed a viral video being linked to the abduction of students and teachers in Oyo State, saying the footage is misleading and not from Nigeria.
In a statement on its official page, the Force said the video was being circulated with false claims aimed at creating panic and spreading misinformation.
“This video is unrelated to the incident and is being used to spread misinformation and cause unnecessary panic,” the statement read.

Police added that security agencies have intensified rescue operations with additional intelligence and operational deployments to secure the safe return of the victims.
