Two victims rescued after being abducted in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State have identified four suspects among 11 people arrested by Nigerian Army troops.
The arrests followed the abduction of Mrs Juliana Goyang and an 11-year-old boy, Master Idumafa Amupitan, in Gwafan community, Jos North.
The military operation was carried out by troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, who began the operation at about 5:40am on September 19, 2026, while searching for those allegedly responsible for the abduction.
During the operation, troops reportedly raided suspected criminal hideouts around Shere, Gwafan and Maza Hills.

Eleven suspects were arrested and taken into custody for questioning and further investigation.
Following their rescue, the two victims identified four of the suspects as people they allegedly recognised as being involved in their abduction.
The suspects were identified as Sa’du Abdullahi, Abdullahi Ahmad, Sabi’u Likita and Abdullahi Ya’u.
The four suspects, along with the other detainees, remain in military custody as investigators work to establish their individual roles in the alleged kidnapping.
The investigation will also examine whether any of the suspects may be connected to other criminal activities in Jos and nearby communities.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to track down suspected kidnapping networks and prevent further abductions in Plateau State.
