
One person has been killed and three others seriously injured after a Lexus Jeep 350 crashed along the Coastal Road inward Eko Hotel in Lagos.
The accident occurred on Friday after the grey Lexus Jeep, with registration number LSD 554 KV, reportedly lost control, crashed into a roadside pole and overturned.
The Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed the incident in a statement.
According to the statement, three occupants sustained serious injuries while another person died in the crash.
LASTMA officials monitoring traffic in the area quickly moved to the scene, secured the affected section and assisted with the emergency response.
With help from Good Samaritans, the injured victims were removed from the damaged vehicle and taken to Duck-Yard Hospital within the Military Zone for urgent treatment.

Security personnel from Victoria Island also assisted at the scene, while LASTMA cleared the wreckage from the road to prevent another accident and restore traffic flow.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and urged motorists to drive carefully.
He warned that speeding, reckless driving and loss of control could result in serious consequences for motorists and other road users.
LASTMA also advised members of the public to report road crashes, vehicle breakdowns and other emergencies through its toll-free short code, 3367, for prompt assistance.
