
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged woman seen in a viral video allegedly threatening police officers with a knife during an argument over cannabis, commonly known as Indian hemp.
The woman, dressed in a green gown, was filmed sitting inside a car while allegedly insulting and cursing officers who had arrested her over suspected cannabis sales.
She later stepped out of the vehicle with a knife and reportedly moved towards a young woman believed to be one of the officers recording the incident.
The incident reportedly occurred in Ijebu Igbo, headquarters of Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Reacting to the viral video on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the woman’s arrest and said investigations were ongoing.
“The suspect has been arrested and the matter is already under investigation,” Babaseyi said.
The Ogun State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, also confirmed that the suspect would be charged to court by the police on Friday.
Ogungbade said he had contacted the Commissioner of Police regarding the incident and was informed that the woman would be arraigned.
