Operatives of the Anti-Robbery Squad under the Ogun State Police Command have dismantled a suspected car theft and armed robbery network, leading to the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles.
The suspects, identified as Hammed Olarewaju, Adedokun Ayinde, and Adedokun Adewusi, were apprehended following a series of intelligence-driven operations triggered by rising cases of vehicle theft across the state.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the breakthrough came after detectives arrested Olarewaju, who was found with a suspicious vehicle plate number.
His arrest exposed a wider criminal network, leading to the capture of Ayinde, believed to be the syndicate leader.
