Parents of 20 prospective NYSC members abducted while travelling from Ibadan to the orientation camp in Imo State have appealed to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, to help secure their children’s release.
The parents visited the monarch at his Bodija residence in Ibadan on Saturday, expressing concern over the condition of the victims, who had reportedly spent about two days in captivity.
Speaking on behalf of the families, Alhaja Halima Akande and Mr Oyebola Michael Akande urged the Olubadan to use his influence and contacts to support efforts to rescue the abducted graduates.

Oba Ladoja, who received the delegation alongside the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Abimbola, assured the parents that efforts were ongoing to resolve the situation.
The Commissioner of Police also assured the families and the public that authorities were working towards securing the safe release of the victims.
The development has heightened concerns over the safety of the prospective corps members, with families anxiously awaiting their return.
