A Nigerian man who reportedly lost contact with his family for about 10 years has been reunited with his loved ones after he was found roaming the streets of Dallas, Texas.
The man, identified as Phillip Elobuike from Enugu State, was reportedly discovered by a Nigerian woman who became concerned after noticing him moving around the streets and boarding different buses, apparently in search of shade from the intense Texas heat.
According to reports, the woman approached Elobuike and tried to establish his identity. He reportedly told her that he was Nigerian and from Enugu State. He was also able to mention the names of his mother, Evelyn Elobuike, and sister, Josephine Elobuike.
Concerned about his condition, the woman recorded a video and appealed to Nigerians to share it online in an effort to locate his relatives.
The video reportedly gained widespread attention among Nigerians both in the United States and Nigeria. The woman later expressed appreciation to those who helped circulate the footage.

The widespread sharing of the appeal eventually helped trace Elobuike’s family, leading to his reported reunion with his loved ones after years without contact.
The development has generated excitement online, with many Nigerians praising the woman for taking the time to help a vulnerable compatriot.
The circumstances surrounding Elobuike’s disappearance, his whereabouts over the past decade and what led to his condition in Dallas were not immediately clear.
For his family, however, the reported discovery has brought an emotional end to years of uncertainty, as their loved one has been found alive and contact has been restored.
