A grieving mother, Amarachi Promise-Amadi, has called for justice after a tragic road crash claimed the lives of three of her children in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The incident occurred on the evening of May 15 along the Eastern Bypass in the Ogbunabali area, when a vehicle reportedly veered off the road and crashed into the family’s compound.
According to the bereaved mother, the children aged 3, 4, and 10 were outside the house when the vehicle suddenly lost control and struck them, killing them instantly.
She said she had briefly stepped out to take a phone call moments before the tragedy unfolded.
The crash also left a domestic worker and another child injured, both of whom were rushed to the hospital for emergency care.
Promise-Amadi alleged that the driver was a young man allegedly learning how to drive with a female companion at the time of the incident.
She further claimed the pair attempted to flee the scene but were stopped by residents.
