A tragic incident has occurred in Abia State after a man, identified as Chinedu Anamelechi, allegedly killed a woman and injured two others before fleeing the community.
The incident took place in Umunagu Amakama, located in Umuahia South Local Government Area.
According to the Abia State Police Command, the suspect attacked Ezinna Ariwodo, resulting in her death. He also assaulted his girlfriend and inflicted injuries on another male resident during the incident.

Police operatives responded promptly to the situation and arrived at the scene, where the victim was found lifeless. The injured individuals were rescued and taken to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.
The body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue for autopsy, while evidence has been recovered from the scene.
Security has since been restored in the area, and authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident. Efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the fleeing suspect.
