Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has revealed a shift in her dating preferences, saying she now gravitates toward working-class men who keep a low profile and stay off social media.
Speaking during an appearance on The ZEZE Millz Show, the entertainer explained that while she has previously dated men from various backgrounds, her current preference is for men with regular 9-to-5 jobs who are not publicly visible online.
According to her, she often meets such individuals through dating apps.
“I’ve dated different types of men,” she said. “But what’s working for me right now is the 9-to-5, no-social-media, doesn’t-care kind of guy. I find them on apps.”
Cuppy also disclosed that she uses exclusive dating platforms such as Raya and The League, noting that The League requires a membership fee of about £400.

“I’m on Raya, and I’m also on The League,” she said. “The League is definitely £400 to join—I can’t lie.”
The 33-year-old, who is the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, stressed the importance of being open-minded in relationships.
She shared that her dating experiences have been diverse, including outings with a bus driver, a man who lives with his mother, a model, and a footballer.
For Cuppy, dating is less about labels and more about connection and conversation.
“You have to be open-minded,” she said. “I’ve gone on dates with all kinds of people—a bus driver, someone who lives with his mum, a model, a footballer. There’s nothing wrong with that. I actually enjoy dating—it’s about talking and getting to know each other.”
