
A dispatch rider, identified as Austin Ikenna Adiele, has allegedly disappeared with 35 grammes of gold valued at about N7 million belonging to a customer in Lagos.
According to reports, the rider switched off his mobile phone shortly after collecting the gold, making it difficult for the company and the customer to reach him.
Following police intervention, Adiele was reportedly traced to Surulere, Lagos, where he was last seen on Monday, August 17, 2026. However, efforts to locate him have so far been unsuccessful.
Adiele, who reportedly worked with Errand Boys Express Logistics, located at No. 5 Julius Nnamere Close, Igando, Lagos, allegedly collected the gold from the company to deliver to a customer before absconding with the valuable item.
The whereabouts of the missing gold also remain unknown as authorities continue efforts to track down the suspect and recover the item.
Members of the public with credible information that could assist in locating Adiele or recovering the gold have been urged to contact 09064811051 or report to the nearest police station.
The public has also been advised not to confront or attempt to apprehend the suspect, but to provide any useful information to the appropriate authorities.
