Three suspects have been arrested in Ilorin for alleged vandalism and armed robbery linked to a criminal syndicate operating in the metropolis.
Operatives of the Kwara State Police Command’s Violent Crimes Response Unit made the arrest in the early hours of Tuesday, May 27, following sustained surveillance and credible intelligence.
The operation targeted suspicious movements around the Tanke area, following public complaints about criminal activities along the Asa Dam/Dangote Road axis.
Police spokesperson SP Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi said the suspects are believed to be part of a wider network involved in vandalizing government-installed solar light infrastructure and carrying out armed robberies in key locations across Ilorin.
