Rabiu further disclosed that two suspected members of an alleged arms trafficking syndicate, Rayyanu Adamu and Nasiru Abubakar, were arrested following surveillance operations around the Giwa and Railway Station areas.
The suspects were allegedly found with 270 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and 30 rounds of Type-06 ammunition.
The commissioner said investigations were ongoing to establish the source and intended destination of the ammunition and identify other members of the alleged syndicate.

Rabiu said the two suspects allegedly admitted buying the vehicle from Abdulkadir Yahaya of Zaria, who is currently at large, despite allegedly knowing that it had been stolen from Kwara State.
The commissioner assured residents that the police would continue operations against criminal elements across Kaduna State while improving intelligence gathering and response to security threats.
He identified intelligence-led policing, proactive patrols, rapid response, covert surveillance, cooperation with other security agencies and community partnerships as key parts of the command’s strategy.
