Davido’s logistics manager, Isreal DMW, has dismissed allegations linking the Afrobeats star to controversies surrounding singer Naira Marley and an alleged plot to have social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) arrested.
Isreal made the clarification in a statement addressed to Nigerians, insisting that Davido had no knowledge of or involvement in the alleged activities of individuals reportedly connected to a WhatsApp group linked to the controversy.
According to him, those who joined the group did so without Davido’s knowledge or approval.
He also dismissed claims that Davido attempted to obtain the music catalogue of late singer Mohbad or sign his former associate, Zinoleesky, describing the allegations as false.

Isreal further disclosed that Davido had faced pressure to unfollow Naira Marley on Instagram at the height of the controversy but refused, insisting that the police should be allowed to investigate the matter rather than relying on hearsay.
He maintained that both artistes remained on good terms, adding that they had previously collaborated on a hit song.
Addressing reports of an incident at Naira Marley’s residence, Isreal explained that the disagreement involved Tolu, a former member of Davido’s 30BG crew, and one of Naira Marley’s associates.
He maintained that no one was beaten or physically attacked during the incident.
