
Popular Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has explained why he prefers giving money directly to the poor instead of paying tithe in church.
Speaking during a recent interview, the actor revealed that he recently earned about N102 million from movie roles. According to him, he decided to give out N10.2 million, which represents 10 percent of his earnings to people in need on the streets.
Zubby Michael said this act is his own way of paying tithe, even though it differs from the traditional practice in churches.
He made it clear that he does not attend church and does not believe in paying tithe through religious institutions.
Instead, he finds more fulfillment in supporting the less privileged directly.
“I’d rather help the poor than pay tithe in church,” he said, adding that his decision is based on personal conviction and his desire to make a visible impact in people’s lives.
